Fire Test Classification - UK first for ECO
Eco Environmental supply and install our 19mm Ballast Netting Systems with non-mechanical fixings to prevent gulls and crows picking up and dropping the ballast pebbles from height.
IKO Group were interested in testing the Fire Rating of their Permatec Ecowrap inverted roofing system which is widely used in large municipal developments such as Schools, Universities and Hospitals.
The roofing system was tested with our Eco 19mm Ballast Netting and non-mechanical fixings, the aim of this exercise was to demonstrate that our Ballast Netting does not have any adverse effects on the external fire performance of the system. Eco Environmental are delighted to report that our 19mm Ballast Netting has passed EN13501-5(4) Fire Test classification for IKO Permatec Ecowrap with a 50mm deep layer of 20-40mm ballast size.
Ballast Netting is an effective Bird Deterrent successfully providing a discreet and impenetrable barrier that protects the premises without harming the birds.
