The One Plymouth Cup initiative

Eco Environmental were delighted to join the One Plymouth Cup initiative to help reduce the amount of disposable cups used by our staff each year.

Our team hope that by supporting a eco-friendly scheme such as this, more people will become educated and want to make lifestyle changes which in turn will help reduce the amount of rubbish being taken to landfill.

The One Plymouth Cup scheme encourages people to switch to using a reusable, recyclable cup rather than buying hot drinks in disposable takeaway cups.

It is estimated that more than 2 billion disposable cups are used each year in the UK. The polythene lining of the cups makes the recycling process difficult hence less than 1% of these cups are recycled.
