Requirements

The purpose of the netting was to deter objects from falling through the open smoke vent on to the Sky Garden situated on the 9th floor, this area is used to promote a casual and collaborative working environment with panoramic views across Leeds and beyond

Solution

Supply & install our approved 19mm Bird Netting System and specialised fixings to the underside of the smoke vent on the new, iconic Office development @ Central Square, Leeds.

Works were unable to commence until 9pm when the Office building closed and we could take over the allocated area and provide safe access to all involved in this project.

Access Strategy

Using a 37-meter Spider Lift, an innovative piece of access equipment in terms of compact physical size that allows our teams to work almost anywhere, from narrow passageways, to weight-sensitive floors, as well as outdoor areas where larger heavier MEWPs would not travel due to soft, wet or steep under-foot conditions.

Our IPAF and SMSTS trained technicians were able to access the area in question taking some 15 minutes to safely reach the working height level such was the extent of the machine’s reach and hydraulic system.

Comments

Working within a restricted time allocation we were able to successfully complete the works safely and on budget much to the client’s satisfaction.

We have established an enviable reputation for being able to carry out all aspects of Bird Control whilst safely working at height – for further information please contact us on 01752 669009 or email us [email protected]
