Sports (MUGA) Netting: Essential for Multi-Use Games Areas
Eco Environmental MUGA Sports Netting works as an effective ball-stop solution to ensure that your outdoor sports facilities are a safe environment for those using the space and the surrounding areas.
MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) & Sports Netting:
Sports netting, especially for Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs), is a critical component for ensuring the safety, functionality, and versatility of sports facilities. MUGAs are designed to accommodate a variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, tennis, and more, within a single area. Proper netting is essential to contain the activities within the designated space and to protect both players and spectators.
Our robust, durable netting can be fitted retrospectively to cap off any existing MUGA facility to maximise your outdoor space and prevent frequently losing equipment and sports balls over the fences.
Netting is available in a variety of gauge sizes and colours, 28mm and 50mm being the most popular and effective ball stop against the likes of tennis balls and cricket balls whilst 100mm netting is considered when trying to prevent the loss of netballs, footballs, and rugby balls.
We can install our Netting Systems at various heights depending on the site location and customer requirement with supporting wires and stainless-steel fixings at pre-agreed centres per wire termination providing a minimum overall sag to the completed system.
Access is often provided in the form of a mobile tower or MEWP at ground level and various forms of roof edge protection when working at height.

TYPES OF SPORTS NETTING
for Multi Use Games Areas (MUGA)

Perimeter Netting:
- Purpose: Encircles the entire MUGA to contain balls within the playing area.
- Material: Often made from high-strength polyethylene or nylon, which are durable and weather-resistant.
- Installation: Mounted on posts around the perimeter of the MUGA, with options for different heights based on the sports being played.
Divider Netting:
- Purpose: Separates different sections of a MUGA to allow multiple games to be played simultaneously.
- Material: Lightweight yet strong, typically made from knotless polyethylene for ease of installation and removal.
- Installation: Can be fixed or retractable, providing flexibility to reconfigure the space as needed.
