Fulham Football Club, Riverside Stadium,

This exciting project involved us collaborating with our client to address and resolve the ongoing challenges posed by the significant bird issues at Fulham Football Stadium.
We were called in to provide solutions to prevent pigeons from entering the 6th-floor roof void through the light apertures in the stadium soffit. Although the gaps around the light fixtures were less than 200mm they still provided ample space for the birds to enter.
We also anticipated that the pigeons would seek other areas to roost once deterred from the roof voids. During a site survey, we identified the adjoining plant compound as the most likely relocation area. At this point, we agreed with the client that it would be more effective to install additional deterrents in the stadium’s plant compound to safeguard the area before an infestation could develop.
FM Bird & Pest Control Partnership Benefits

Our FM led Team understand that the level of support required from us is an evolving partnership rather than a one-off site visit.

The Team at Eco Environmental are delighted to announce that we have recently been awarded our Cyber Essentials Certificate.
Penguin Enclosure, Whipsnade Zoo,

We were contacted by our client earlier this year when they started experiencing issues with their Bird Netting System to the Penguin enclosure.
The park covers an incredible 600 acres in size and is one of the largest Zoos in the UK.
Our working area within the Penguin enclosure had suffered from severe weather damage, partly due to the exposed location as well as the lack of pre-planned maintenance and inspection visits.
Cullercoats Metro Station, North Shields,

We were recently contacted by one of our engineering clients to help them provide a solution to protect Cullercoats Footbridge from nesting birds, namely Pigeons.
Due to the overall large scale of the works, it was agreed that a site visit and walk around with the client would be beneficial as we were then able to agree on the methodology and duration of our site works relating to the Pigeon Netting installation.
The scope of works was to prevent the resident pigeons from fouling the platforms and walkways below – fresh guano creates a slippery, wet surface which presents as a H&S risk to anyone using it.

Supporting the Plymouth Soup Run

Across the UK, Christmas is one of the most celebrated holidays and is viewed as a wonderful way to end the year. Unfortunately, it can also be one of the most difficult times of the year for vulnerable individuals, especially rough sleepers and homeless people.
Booker, Sunbury-on-Thames,

This was an exciting project which had us looking at a single, large canopy spanning across two different areas of the client’s property.
The main area of concern was the trolly bay canopy as the pre-existing netting system had been damaged beyond repair, leaving parts of the exposed netting hanging down, with the possibility of birds becoming tangled and trapped behind the netting.
Left unprotected, the birds would begin to roost and nest under the canopy areas with their guano/ droppings and nesting materials falling onto the walkways as well as the loading bay areas.
Lidl, Regional Distribution Centre, Luton,

Having successfully completed the tender process for this project, we were proud to partner with Lidl and supply & install our Bespoke Netting within their Regional Distribution Centre, located in Luton.
Sitting at an impressive 1.2 million square feet and half a kilometre in length, this is Lidl’s largest RDC in the world – large enough to fit three of Lidl’s regular warehouses inside.
As this site stocks and stores food items for further distribution, it was important that the exposed support beams & lighting fixtures were protected from feral birds who could perch, roost and foul on the working and storage areas below.
