Across the UK, Christmas is one of the most celebrated holidays and is viewed as a wonderful way to end the year. Unfortunately, it can also be one of the most difficult times of the year for vulnerable individuals, especially rough sleepers and homeless people.
This year the Team @ Eco Environmental wanted to add our support to the Plymouth Soup Run by partaking in their Reverse Advent Calendar Appeal. We all chipped in and helped put together a total of 12 care packages for donation. Each package contained a mixture of both much-needed essentials as well as a few comfort items to try and support the recipient during these challenging times.
We dropped off our boxes at St Paul’s Church in Efford, who are mostly church members, and they take an active role in supporting the Plymouth Soup Run by giving out meals and supplies to the homeless in their local area.
