Requirements
Eco Environmental have recently worked with a number of main Construction Contractors delivering our Bird Control solutions to multiple distribution and fulfilment centres located within the UK, on behalf of the end user Amazon.
One of our key clients initially contacted us as they were working on a refurbishment project in Sheffield and had already identified the need for a mixture of Bird Control and Security Netting to the building; similar control works had already been implemented by Eco Environmental to projects in Avonmouth and Darlington.
The initial request was to carry out a bespoke site survey and produce a Bird Proofing report detailing our findings and recommendations – implementing effective solutions requires a mutual understanding between us and our client so that we can provide a system that is both economically viable and technically possible.
Solution
Supplied and installed Bird Spikes to external lights/cameras to prevent birds from roosting; supplied and installed Bird Netting to the loading bay canopies; Installed weep hole protectors to prevent rodent ingress to fabric of the building; supplied and installed security netting to various identified areas to prevent items being stolen.
Access Strategy
Using a combination of boom lifts designed to meet the needs of different environments and applications we were able to access all areas safely – our 12.2m narrow boom allowed us to access the confined spaces whilst our 16m articulated boom provided the safe access to the wide variety of height levels in situ.
All of our certified IPAF trained MEWP operators have attended a recognised operator training course and have received a certificate and card listing the categories of MEWP the bearer is trained to operate.
