Ongoing Pigeon issues rectified by a retractable Bird Net system
Eco Environmental were recently called upon by the managing agents to offer advice and a solution to the ongoing pigeon issues reported by the residents at Berkley Square, Plymouth.
The pigeons had taken up perching and roosting on the window cills of the modern, stylish luxury apartments within this Grade II listed building which in turn was causing a build-up of fouling.
Eco Environmental were concerned that this visible fouling build up would not only be detrimental to the aesthetes of this listed building it could also cause potential health and safety hazard to the local residents and anyone that came into contact with it.
It was decided that a retractable Bird Net system be installed to block off the entry to the courtyard thus denying the pigeons any further access, this type of netting system provides an impenetrable barrier to the pigeons, causing no harm to the birds, displacing the population to other areas.
Once our retractable netting system had been installed successfully we were then able to carry out a hygiene clean to the courtyard making it a safe environment for the residents.
