Fouling Cleaning at Woodhouse Mill's Water Regulator

We were contacted by our client to resolve an issue with feral pigeons perching on the water regulator in South Yorkshire, which was causing a fouling hazard to engineers working on the structure.

There were also issues with damaged sections of concrete on the support legs and gaps under the main platform where pigeons were perching which was proving troublesome to access.

We designed and constructed a portal frame to cover the structure and encapsulated the area with Bird netting, in addition we installed mesh to the underside of the structure and carried out concrete repairs using roped access techniques.
