Requirements

To prevent pigeons and gulls nesting and fouling the roof of the newly built Home Bargains store in Cross Hands, Llanelli for Main Contractor Jones Bros (Henllan) whilst still providing access for maintenance.

Solution

Eco Environmental specified a Gull Roof net system, consisting of an effective 50mm black polyethylene netting tensioned to stainless steel cable and fixings on padded roof mount bases.

The net system was used to enclose the roof and parapets of the main roof and the roof and parapets of the tower separately.

Our Bird Netting is one of the most requested control systems and when installed correctly it is a very successful deterrent system thereby ensuring that your buildings and structures are protected against all types of urban bird species, in particular Pigeons and Seagulls.

Access Strategy

Accessing the area safely with IPAF trained technicians from a Z45 Access Boom.

Site specific RAMS were submitted to client for prior sign off and acceptance before any works commenced.
