Requirements

Eco were approached by our client to provide a solution to an on-going bird problem at their site in Reading. Birds had been causing significant damage to the roof plant pipe/duct lagging, removing this to build nests

Solution

We supplied and installed our 50mm Bird Net system two specific areas of the roof, a large plant area and smaller plant compound, including all necessary fixings, to protect the roof plant area and ducting area to deter birds from damaging the pipe and trunking lagging. We also ensured future access to the areas by installing two zips into the net. The Bird Net was installed on padded roof mounts allowing us to seal off section to a height of 2.5m.

All of our Bird Netting is heavy duty, UV Stabilised which means that the material will not deteriorate in sunlight and retains its shape for many years.

Access Strategy

Our CSCS Carded team aaccessed the working area via roof hatch, safe working from man safe system and fall protection harness.
