Access Strategy
The overall size of the warehouse and our working area meant that the Team, who are used to installing within a fast-paced working environment, gained safe access to the ceiling area by using a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform).
Solution
After meeting with the client and surveying the areas of concern, it was decided that we would install our 19mm black knotted Bird Netting to the ceiling of the warehouse, this was combined with a wire, fixed framework, that would help support the overall system – a total quantity of our bird netting used for this project was circa 9,100m2.
Due to the complexity concerning parts of the install areas, we decided to adapt our techniques to include the fixing of anchor plates and 2mm s/s wire strops to help reduce the slack of the net, this was further supported by hog rings being used approx. every 38mm on both the perimeter and supporting wires, in essence, this net was not going anywhere!
