Birdnet

An effective deterrent that provides a discreet and impenetrable barrier that protects the premises without harming the birds.

Eco's Birdnet system is one of the most effective and long lasting ways of proofing buildings and other structures against all urban bird species. It is particularly effective for large open areas such as roofs, loading bays and the like. As one net can be used to protect many perching places, Birdnet is often the most cost effective solution. The bird net system provides an impenetrable barrier that protects buildings without harming the birds.

The system consists of a stainless steel perimeter straining cable, which is supported normally by stainless steel fixings drilled into the structure at regular centres. The cable is tensioned using a high quality grade 316 stainless steel barrel strainer and the net securely attached to it by stainless steel hog rings.

The bird netting is constructed from high density ultra-violet stabilised knotted 12/6 polyethylene being chemically inert and rot proof in addition to offering a high resistance to a wide range of chemical and environmental conditions. The nets range from 19mm gauge to deny the smallest pest birds entry, rising to 50mm gauge and 75mm gauge to seal off areas from pigeons and seagulls respectively. Colours can vary but generally black, stone and white Birdnets are available as standard.

Our new Nano Coating for nets prevents moisture and UV rays from attacking the material and more importantly raises the freezing temperature of water preventing snow and ice from building up on the netting surface which in worse case scenarios can lead to net damage and collapse.

The Nano coating is of particular use on the smaller gauge nets such as our 19mm and 29mm nets where the close mesh provides more surface area for snow to build up.

All Birdnet installations are guaranteed for up to 10 years.
