Falconry keeps Colmore Row Birmingham building free from birds.

Eco Environmental Services were asked to provide an environmental solution to prevent birds establishing on the roof of an Office block in Colmore Row prior to the nesting season.

Falconry is a great natural bird deterrent and the birds of prey we use for falconry bird control are trained in a specialist format to ensure that they can be deployed and their flights controlled.

Dave Harry our Contracts Manager for the Wales and West is pictured holding Dread our Harris Hawk who certainly got the attention of staff as well as the local gulls and pigeons whilst in flight as it enforced a no-fly zone for pigeons and gulls in the area.

We are happy to point out that no birds were harmed by the Hawk as its presence simply enforces that the surrounding area is not a safe place to nest.
