Anti Bird Nets Installed to Stourbridge Interchange

Stourbridge's new bus station and interchange is scheduled to open in spring 2012. It will include 11 upgraded bus stands where passengers can wait in glass shelters with doors that automatically open when the bus arrives.

The designers recognized that the top of the glass curtain walling could form an attractive perch for town pigeons so Eco Environmental Services Ltd were asked to install pigeon deterrents to proof the shelters against birds. We installed bird nets to seal the gap and prevent pigeons from perching on or around the glass shelters.

Pigeons are a bird pest that can appear everywhere, especially in areas where perching is facilitated. Our Anti Bird Netting is an effective bird deterrent which provides an impenetrable barrier that protects the premises without harming the birds.

Ed McDonald of Interserve commented ”the project has been challenging and Eco Environmental Services Ltd have proved innovative and flexible in their approach to the works, I would be happy to work with them again and to recommend them.”
